A great tactic to win favour and support within your network but it can be easily seen as insincere if your only faking it!
One of The Crane Event‘s mantras is to be natural, to be human, to be nice. It sounds like a USP but it really shouldn’t be.
Today I had the pleasure of meeting many, many kind and supportive people at the Independent Venues Show #IVS such as Emma Cartmell and Jo Elliott who were both insightful and encouraging. Mia Butler was a friendly face and is always a pleasure to see, as well as Anna Tabor and all the other venues who welcomed me in, and told me all about their great venues!
We may be new but we’re out there and becoming old friends with many of you! We’re looking forward to seeing more of you in the future!
Coombe Abbey Hotel have worked with CHS for the past 3 years exhibiting at the Annual CHS show in Leeds and also taking part in the Independent Venue Roadshows and Showcase events throughout the UK. These events have given us the opportunity to present our venue and build relationships with numerous Conference organisers that we wouldn’t independently have been able to access. We are delighted to have recently converted an enquiry gained at one of these roadshows which is valued at approximately £50,000 – a wonderful return on investment!
Just wanted to say thank you for another great IVR. I found that the quality and mix of attendees was really good and as usual everything was very well organised.
I found the evening very useful indeed, learnt a lot about the venues involved in the roadshow and made some great contacts. The relaxed evening made it very easy to sit down and have a proper conversation with complementary businesses and left me with some thought provoking ideas and inspirations.
Having attended previous IVS events I was delighted to see the new format which enabled quality time with all exhibitors. A well balanced mix of venues were present to cater for all conference and event requirements. All in all a superbly organised and ran event maximising on the time available. I’ll be back!
